A bigger concrete pump will probably cost you about $200 per hour, plus travel time. THey will also have a minimum hire charge. On top of that you’ll pay probably $6 or so per m3 of concrete pumped.
$1500 for a concrete pump for a day is not unreasonable for a larger pump, but I’m not too sure about the cost of a smaller one (hopefully these figures will give you some sort of indication).
THe best thing to do is call a pump company up and ask for their charges. Just don’t call up the same company, and don’t tell them you haven’t done the job yet. You’ll get an indication of the fair market value doing this.
TAg, try getting a few quotes for everything you want to do, make a generic enquiry for a service such as the concrete pumping and send it to 5 companies. You will then be able to tell what a fair price is. Some companies have their prices on the website so you don’t even need to enquire. Service central is another one that you can post a job and contractors will contact you with prices.
